Alexander Heidenreich: A Working Man, a Man of Faith, and a Story of Redemption

Alexander J. S. Heidenreich was born and raised on the north side of Springfield, Missouri, by a poor single mother on welfare. He grew up knowing exactly what it means to do without — and what it takes to keep going anyway.

His road was not an easy one. Alexander persevered through a myriad of trials and tribulations, including 17 years behind bars. Since coming home in 2017, he has rebuilt his life as a better, more grounded human being — living proof that a person is more than their worst chapter. That conviction drives one of the core principles of this campaign: your past shouldn't block your future.

Alexander has spent his working life behind the wheel. He served as CEO of Yellow Cab in Topeka, Kansas, and as an independent owner-operator of a cab in Springfield, Missouri's Yellow Cab — one of the many independent owners who make up Yellow Cab, not the company owner — working as a trainer and a driver. He still drives for Yellow Cab today. He is a working man — not a career politician. He knows the 9-to-5 America that Washington keeps forgetting, because he lives it.

He also runs Kratonis, his personal training and nutrition practice, helping everyday people get stronger, healthier, and back on their feet. And every chance he gets, he helps the homeless — hands-on outreach to people who have been left behind.

Alexander is, in his own words, a good Christian-value American — a man whose faith teaches him that every person deserves dignity, grace, and a second chance.

He isn't backed by corporate PACs, lobbyists, or special interests. He's a Springfield man running for Congress because Washington stopped listening to people like us — the veterans, the working families, the 99%. He is running as an Independent: not left, not right, forward.
